Attachment-Trauma Focused Therapy Post-Graduate Certificate Program. Streaming and In-Person

46 CEUs.  This program, authored by Deborah Gray and endorsed by the International Association for Training on Attachment and Trauma, is now streaming through the efforts of Honestly Adoption and 1Million Home. The course is a balance of theoretical and practical application. It includes adaptations for children and teens with prenatal exposure to substance and/or executive dysfunction. 

The course covers the use of many therapeutic models in a blended approach to meet the needs of children and their families. Attachment, trauma, complicated grieving, sexual abuse treatment, and social relations are covered. The program uses the text: Promoting Healthy Attachments. A Class Binder of 125 pages, follow-up casing groups by ZOOM, and, for those streaming, taped video modules on topics are all included. More information for streaming:

Children and teen’s behaviors and needs are broken down into brief videos as Deborah Gray answers questions on the topic areas of “Why are they doing that? What does that mean? What do I do about it? The course includes written descriptions and resources for a deeper dive into topic areas. This training addresses the needs of children who were in orphanages and foster care, and especially those who are transitioning into new homes.
